Working to improve the health of the population and the quality of life of the people we serve.
Mental health has long been a subject nobody has wanted to talk about, except jokingly or nervously. But it affects all of us - not just the tens of thousands of Canadians diagnosed with schizophrenia - not even just the one-quarter of Canadians with high chronic stress. Your mental health is as important as your physical health. We are committed to providing a responsive, inclusive system of mental health and substance use care which recognizes that recovery is a deeply personal and unique process. We are continuing to develop a strong range of health care services that will meet the unique needs of individuals living with mental illness and addictions, and their families. We provide a wide range of acute and community services and contract with community agencies to provide services that complete and compliment our own services.
