Provides preventative health strategies for neurological care conditions, treats neurological illness when they occur, and aims to build and maintain a state of optimal neurologic health for our community and individuals within the Fraser Health region.

Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary care team including neurologists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, dieticians, registered nurses and a patient care coordinator.

Other services include a comprehensive assessment, consultation and education for individuals with a broad range of neurological concerns. Sub-speciality neurological disciplines offered at the clinic include:

  • Movement Disorder program
    Providing diagnosis and management of illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor, tics, dystonia and chorea.
  • Epilepsy program
    Offers expertise in the diagnosis and management of seizures and epilepsy as well as providing neuro-diagnostics such as EEGs.
  • Neuromuscular disorder and autonomic program
    Assesses muscle and peripheral nerve disorders and offers advanced testing with electromyography and nerve conduction studies. The program investigates and treats central and peripheral autonomic disorders as well as provides testing including tilt table, quantitative sweat analysis and sensory testing.
  • Neuro-ophthalmology
    Provides diagnosis and management of visual loss, double vision, irregular eye movements and pupillary abnormalities caused by conditions such as stroke, auto-immune conditions, cancer and infections.
  • Urgent neurology
    Supports local emergency doctors and community physicians with concerns necessitating a timely review.
  • Neuro-diagnostics
    Provides out-patient EEG and EMGs.
  • Headache services (for patients with atypical or refractory headaches)
  • Stroke Prevention Clinic – TIA Rapid Assessment
