An urgent care response centre for adults (19 years and older) with urgent mental health and substance use concerns.
Surrey Urgent Care Response Centre (UCRC) supports adults (19 years and older) living in Surrey who need help with a mental health or substance use concern. Our goal is to connect client’s with a professional (counsellor, nurse, psychiatrist, social worker), who can provide timely treatment and connection to local programs to meet these needs.
What to expect
All new clients coming in to the UCRC first meet with a psychiatric nurse, who will do a brief assessment to better understand what their specific needs are and to connect them with a professional or program that will best support them. These assessments can be done over the phone or in-person. After meeting with a nurse, clients will have a specific treatment plan that will include the support services the client can receive (ie. Counselling, groups, psychiatric consultations).
Services include:
- Crisis support
- Psychiatric consultation for medication options
- Short-term counselling
- Connection to community-based services
- Opiate agonist therapy during evening (after 4:30pm) and weekend hours
Hours of operation
Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. (7-days-a-week, including statutory holidays). Last walk-in appointment accepted at 6:30 p.m.
