Volunteers contribute to the health of our Tri-Cities community by offering services and support to our patients, families, visitors, and frontline staff providers. The volunteers' contributions enhances’ patient care and the overall experience at Eagle Ridge Hospital and Manor.

Prorgam eligibility criteria
- Minimum age: 16 years (visit our page to see specific program eligibility guidelines)
- Availability and commitment:
- A minimum of one shift per week for a minimum of four-month period (16 weeks/16 shifts; shift duration is a minimum of two hours, and up to four hours)
- English proficiency:
- Verbal
- Written
- Geographical location:
- You must be a current resident of the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam)
- If you reside outside of the Tri-Cities please reach out to your local healthcare facility for volunteer opportunities.

Application process

Step two: Health care volunteer screening process includes:
- Criminal record check – B.C. Ministry of Justice
- Interview
- Reference checks – two required
Step three: Required health care volunteer orientation and training:
- Online orientation/training courses
- In-person orientation/training
Step four: Placement.
- You are placed into a volunteer program.
