Career snapshot
Nancy started her career 21 years ago as a registered nurse specializing in emergency departments and surgical services. She continued providing care at the bedside in QC, ON and in B.C. up to May 2024, with Fraser Health at Burnaby Hospital and community services during COVID-19.
Prior to this role, Nancy was the chief virtual health officer at the Provincial Health Services Authority. She has a remarkable track record as an executive lead for the past 19 years in quality and clinical operations across health authorities and care settings, including acute, community, primary, long-term care, correctional health and mental health and substance use services. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, fostering a culture of change and consistently delivering outstanding results through innovation and technology.
Throughout her career, Nancy has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to serving vulnerable populations and integrating patient and community voices into health care decisions. Her ability to cultivate trusting relationships with unions, the Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders have been invaluable in enhancing health care services and improving patient outcomes for all. She’s a values-based leader focused on making quality improvements to support staff, clients and families.
Continuously striving for excellence, Nancy's extensive experience in quality and patient safety programs, her role as an Accreditation Canada surveyor and her strategic collaborations with government bodies and health authorities will significantly contribute to our organization's mission and goals.
