Surrey Memorial Hospital acute care tower

People in Surrey and the Fraser Health region will have access to enhanced health care services as plans move ahead for a new acute care tower at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

This tower signifies progress and hope for Fraser Health communities and the entire region in supporting capacity and care for specialized services like pediatric, women’s health, mental health, surgery and stroke care.

This generational investment aligns with a broader vision of health system transformation, acknowledging the needs for innovation, research and education and training to enrich an entire health care ecosystem for a Health Sciences Campus.

Planning for the acute care tower will align with ongoing work on 30 priority actions to transform health care at Surrey Memorial Hospital. During the next 15 to 18 months, the project will proceed to the business planning phase. Consultation to support business planning will soon launch and include engagement with health care providers, Indigenous partners, the community and local municipalities.
