Not sure where to go for care? Knowing your options can help you reduce stress and get timely support.
Family doctor or nurse practitioner

Call your family doctor or nurse practitioner first. Did you know they may have same or next-day appointment spots for urgent or time-sensitive medical concerns?
If an appointment is not available, you can use HealthLink BC to find a walk-in clinic in your area.
If you don’t have a family practitioner, register for one at the Health Connect Registry.
Urgent and Primary Care Centres

Visit an Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) for urgent, non-emergency care that needs attention within 12 to 24 hours. People with the most urgent medical concerns are seen first.
Fraser Health Virtual Care

For health care advice from home, call 1-800-314-0999 to speak with a registered nurse from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7-days-a-week. You can speak to a registered dietitian from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
After hours? Call 8-1-1.
Pharmacist

Talk to your pharmacist for minor ailments, like a urinary tract infection, pink eye and hemorrhoids.
They may also be able to provide an emergency refill of your prescription, including medications for chronic conditions.
