The Department of Evaluation and Research Services (DERS) CRU offers a wide range of services to clinical investigators conducting research at Fraser Health. The DERS CRU is comprised of clinical research professionals that support all types of sponsored-studies.
Our services include:
- Study start-up operations
- Feasibility review
- Research ethics board application preparation and submission
- Fraser Health institutional approval submission (including Fraser Health departmental agreements for study required services; for example: lab, imaging, health records, etc.)
- Informed consent development
- Contract and budget negotiation
- Setting up initial regulatory files
- Study activities
- Patient recruitment, screening and consenting
- Patient follow-up (for example: study visits and interviews)
- Data collection and entry
- Host monitoring visit
- Maintaining and updating regulatory files
- Ensuring protocol compliance
- Setting up the Clinical Trial Management System (if applicable)
- Financial management
- Research ethics board ongoing submission (for example: renewal and amendment)
- Study close-out operations
- Archiving study files
- Research ethics board close-out submission
Requesting Services
Research support services may be available at some sites depending on a feasibility assessment and other factors, typically on a cost-recovery or fee-basis. If you are interested in discussing the services available, please complete and submit the Request for DERS CRU services form to FHClinicalResearch@fraserhealth.ca.
