To ensure the safety, quality and compliance of all research conducted at Fraser Health Authority, the Department of Evaluation and Research Services (DERS) provides ongoing education, training and resources for researchers and research staff.

All clinical research coordinators (CRC) and other research staff are strongly encouraged to sign up for the CRC listserv to ensure they receive pertinent communications, such as upcoming training opportunities and regulatory updates. Tri-council policy statement: Ethical conduct for research
All researchers and research staff who intend to engage with human participants need to complete the TCPS2: CORE-2022. Please retain the certificate of completion.

The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) - Canada Education Program
Thanks to Clinical Trials BC who has funded and managed the provincial BC membership since 2017, as a member of the Network of Networks (N2), all Fraser Health researchers and research staff have access to the CITI-Canada Program. The courses include a quiz after each module to test the learner’s knowledge.

Good documentation practice training
In addition to the CITI-Canada Program, N2 is providing its members a Good Documentation Practice (GDP) training through Dualcode. The course is based on the training created at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre at University Health Network in Toronto. The course includes a quiz to test the learner’s knowledge.

Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP) Learning Management System
Clinical Trials BC have partnered with ACRP to provide researchers and research staff across B.C. free access to their e-learning library of educational courses.

Clinical Research Professional (CRP) Certification Program
Clinical Trials BC offers fee reimbursement for clinical research professionals taking SoCRA and ACRP tests. Besides financial support, Clinical Trials BC also provides a bundle of resources including recordings of exam prep sessions, study materials, and practice test on our electronic Community of Practice (eCoP).
