Research conducted in Fraser Health is patient focused and oriented. Research success strongly depends on patient recruitment. To facilitate recruitment, patients are asked at the point of registration if they would like to give consent to researchers to be contacted for future research.
The consent also includes review of patient information in our electronic patient registration system, Meditech.
