This resource guide for managers of licensed care facilities in Fraser Health will assist with preventing, recognizing and controlling outbreaks of gastroenteritis.

This document is consistent with principles of:

  • Always follow Standard Precautions as outlined in your facility Infection Control Manual;
  • Initiating Transmission Based Precautions as indicated in specific situations, and as outlined in your facility Infection Control Manual; and
  • Following the advice and direction of your infection control practitioner.
