Extension of noise bylaw exemption approved for after hours work - The City of New Westminster has approved extensions to noise bylaw exemptions for construction at Royal Columbian Hospital on Saturday mornings and for after-hours concrete finishing on weekdays. With these exemptions, our construction partner EllisDon will continue to start construction at 7 a.m. on Saturdays until May 4, 2024,
How will this affect you?
You should not notice any changes to construction noise on Saturday mornings. The 7 a.m. start is the same as it has been since May 2021.
We apologize for any inconvenience. EllisDon and its contractors will minimize the impact of noise, dust, and disruption in accordance with the City’s regulations and Good Neighbour Protocol. Thank you for your patience during construction.
