Public Notice

We would like to update you about the ongoing civil work on Sherbrooke Street that will help to improve accessibility and transportation management around Royal Columbian Hospital.

As part of this project, we are performing essential construction activities that will involve some modifications and temporary disruptions.

How will this affect you?

  • Full closure of Sherbrooke Street from East Columbia Street to Garrett Street will be in effect during working hours until the end of March.
  • Neighbours in affected properties by Sherbrooke Street (from East Columbia to Garrett Street) can expect the landscaping removals in front of their properties to start in January.
  • The Sherbrooke Street work will commence on the hospital side starting from East Columbia to Garrett Street. Then the work will switch to the neighbours side starting from East Columbia to Garrett Street.
  • We expect to complete the Sherbrooke Street work by the end of March.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation. EllisDon and its contractors will try to minimize the impact of noise, dust and disruption in accordance with the City’s regulations and Good Neighbour Protocol. Thank you for your patience.
