Starting June 24, 2024, the main elevator at Fraser Canyon Hospital will be closed for eight to nine weeks for a scheduled mechanical upgrade to ensure our hospital continues to meet modern safety standards and the needs of staff, patients and families.

How will this affect you?

  • The hospital will remain open, and all services will continue to be available.
  • The hospital’s elevator will be unavailable on both floors starting June 24. Please give yourself more time to get around the hospital. Stairs located near the acute nursing station on the main floor provide access to the ground floor services, including laboratory and rehabilitation services.
  • If you have an appointment on the ground floor and have mobility needs, please use the entrance located on the northwest side of the facility, just before the ambulance bay, to access the ground floor directly. Parking spaces are available close to this entrance, for your convenience, and there will be helpful signs within and around the facility to guide your movement. See guide map below:

We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause. Remember, staff and medical staff are always ready to help. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this necessary upgrade.
