For Abbotsford Regional Hospital

I had an accident in my home. My husband called for an ambulance. When we arrived at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, the Emergency Department took me in quickly, asked questions and immediately began ordering tests. The nurses and doctors were very professional, calm and reassuring. They were swift to action and proficient. They were also kind and patient.

I was admitted to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) for further assessment. Over the next couple of days, I had some procedures and, once again, every one of those professionals was efficient, kind and compassionate. They were busy but attentive at the same time – not always easy to do.

The staff of the CCU were amazing. Cardiologist Dr. Malhi was exceptional. That whole unit is full of compassionate caregivers, from the care aides (who helped me wash the blood out of my hair) to the nurses and cardiologists. Every one of them was kind and knowledgeable and gave the very best of care.

The porters who took me from one place to another for testing were exceptional people with very busy and taxing jobs. They were full of smiles, no matter how busy they were, and I thank them all for their care and their kind words.

I was made warm and comfortable and had every confidence in the professionals around me.

My experience was exceptional. I was given a folder of things to do upon my discharge and everything was explained to me in detail.

I could not have asked for better care than what I received. From the bottom of my heart, I thank every one of you. You are the healing angels among us and I very much appreciate your time, your care and your kind words.

Thank God for the good people of Abbotsford. Thank you.

For Burnaby Hospital

Thank you, Morva, for the gourmet cheese sandwich. I had to take my elderly mother to the Burnaby Hospital Emergency Department. We were seen in Zone 2. As we waited for our results, Morva, the unit clerk, kindly got us a blanket, juice and a snack as my mother had not eaten in 12 hours and was cold. Her kindness and gestures shown to us were genuine and greatly appreciated. I could see how busy she was, but she stopped during her work to help my mother be comfortable.

For Langley Memorial Hospital

I would like to thank Dr. Soubbotina and Patient Care Coordinator Laurel on 2 North for the care and communication they gave regarding my mom. Laurel was able to email me, call me and let me know when my mom was being transferred to another unit. Dr. Soubbotina was amazing at calling me and updating me on my mom's condition. Even though I know they are busy, I appreciated the follow-up.

For Peace Arch Hospital

Peace Arch Hospital is clean and organized. Everyone was very kind from check-in to check-out. The nurses here are absolutely amazing. They are so kind, funny and great at what they do. My doctor and surgeon were, as well. Thank you so much to the team at Surgical Daycare; you really make a difficult and stressful time easy and painless. Thank you.

For Ridge Meadows Hospital

Our visit was very efficient. Tests and exams were all done very promptly. We constantly spoke about how this was, far and away, the best treatment we've experienced in an Emergency Department. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant, concerned, caring and respectful. Special shout out to Dr. Sawchuk and Nurse Ingrid!

For Royal Columbian Hospital

I brought my mom to the Emergency Department for psychiatric reasons, however, we were separated when she first went to Zone 2. Eventually, I was able to get to Zone 2 and provide additional information about my mom's condition to Dr. Tyson. She listened to everything I said, did so in a kind and compassionate manner and took the time to hear me out even though it was busy and she already saw my mom.
